Create conceptual and detailed mechanical and piping designs for industrial plant projects. Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, lay out equipment, piping, and utility systems, check drawings, support engineering and estimating activities, and prepare material estimates. Collaborate with engineers, designers, leadership, sales, and estimating teams. Conduct job-site analyses and field assignments as needed, provide design recommendations, and deliver work according to project schedules.

Designs and analyzes mechanical systems and equipment for direct reduction plants and new technologies. Leads mechanical engineering efforts, coordinates engineers and designers, reviews drawings, specifications, vendor submissions, and quality documents, and supports procurement, sales, estimating, inspections, and aftermarket teams. Develops equipment improvements, provides technical mentorship, coordinates with consultants and clients, and performs site and fabrication-shop inspections. The role requires industrial engineering expertise, technical writing, project coordination, and 10–25% domestic and international travel.
