Frequently Asked Questions

Workload Sustainability

At Klaviyo, we move at the pace of our customers and the speed of innovation—fast, focused, and always evolving. The work is intense and often ambiguous, but it’s grounded in purpose and impact. We believe in setting a high bar and giving our people the ownership and tools to meet it. While the pace can be demanding, it’s also deeply rewarding: Klaviyos gain experience, confidence, and skills at a speed that outpaces most other environments. That said, we know sustainable growth requires balance. We trust Klaviyos to manage their energy, take time to recharge, and communicate openly with their teams. Our goal isn’t hustle for hustle’s sake—it’s purposeful velocity, high trust, and accelerated growth that’s worth the stretch.

Flexibility Options

Klaviyo operates on a hybrid model with a clear expectation: if you're hub-designated, you’re expected to be in the office 3 days per week. We know life happens—PTO, sick days, and occasional scheduling conflicts are normal and don’t need to be “made up.” What matters most is consistency over time and good communication. If your schedule needs to shift (for example, if your usual office day falls on a holiday), you’re encouraged to swap days and keep your people leader in the loop. Our offices are designed for both collaboration and heads-down work, and if you have specific needs, we're open to improving the experience—just reach out. For Klaviyos in EMEA/APAC, formal flexible work arrangements may be available per local laws and must go through an approval process. Ultimately, we trust Klaviyos to make the right decisions, and we’re here to support open conversations when adjustments are needed.

Mental Health Support

Klaviyo supports mental health and wellbeing through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) medical plans , partnerships with Modern Health , and access to RethinkCare. These initiatives demonstrate a commitment to comprehensive and accessible care , providing resources that range from clinical therapy and psychiatry to digital tools for stress management. The company also provides eight annual 1:1 coaching and therapy sessions , unlimited group support sessions called Circles , and expert-led guidance for neurodiversity and caregiving , showing that wellbeing extends to professional growth and family support.

Employees highlight personalized care for life’s ups and downs and safe spaces to find community as evidence that wellbeing is integrated into the employee experience. Leadership reinforces this commitment by rolling out benefits globally and integrating apps like Modern Health directly into the Okta dashboard. Additional signals include specialized support for neurodiverse Klaviyos and evidence-based digital training courses designed to build resilience and emotional intelligence.
