Responsibilities include copy editing, programming homepages and app feeds, writing alerts and social copy, applying metadata and technical publishing requirements, troubleshooting publishing issues, and collaborating with newsroom, audience, social, and international production teams.

Lead data science work embedded in the newsroom: identify high-impact problems, build and productionize predictive and explanatory models, own core metrics/measurement, apply causal inference and experimentation, translate findings for senior stakeholders, and mentor junior data team members to improve analytic standards and adoption.

The Standards Editor will uphold The Wall Street Journal’s reporting, style, fairness, and ethics standards. Responsibilities include pre-publication review of high-impact journalism, advising reporters and editors with media attorneys, resolving post-publication issues, adjudicating disputes, and protecting readers’ interests. The role requires extensive journalism experience, high-level editing and management expertise, strong news judgment, fairness, and thorough knowledge of the Journal’s standards and processes.
