Teams at Chainguard

Lead architecture and implementation of Chainguard Repository’s customer-facing package registries, APIs, and artifact-serving services. Build and operate highly available Go backend systems, improve scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and load testing, and shape repository support for libraries, containers, images, and APKs. Collaborate across engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable infrastructure at scale.

Lead the strategy, architecture, and operation of Chainguard’s database platform. Build production tooling and automated guardrails; improve replication, high availability, backups, disaster recovery, migrations, capacity planning, and global database resilience. Assess risks across existing systems, establish standards and governance, write production code, and lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering teams. The role requires deep PostgreSQL and MySQL expertise, cloud infrastructure experience, Linux and Go proficiency, and staff-level technical leadership.

Lead a 15-person Container Product Engineering team building hardened container images, registry services, build systems, adoption tooling, and compliance features. Own team outcomes, hiring, coaching, roadmap execution, technical quality, delivery, planning, and cross-functional collaboration. Remain hands-on through code and design reviews while guiding AI-native engineering practices. The role partners with product and platform teams and offers a path toward broader Director-level scope.
