Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a passionate and proactive Workplace Experience Coordinator to bring energy, creativity, and structure to our Nashville HQ. This role blends the strategic with the hands-on, managing day-to-day office operations while also owning the employee experience in ways that inspire connection, culture, and collaboration. If you're someone who loves making a workplace feel alive, thrives on multi-tasking, and takes ownership of every detail from vendor management to events, this is your chance to shape the return-to-office experience that people talk about.

What you'll do
  • Oversee daily office operations and facilities management, serving as the primary lead for building-related issues, office policies, maintenance updates, and onsite vendor relationships
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and secure working environment, ensuring all reception areas, conference rooms, and common spaces are consistently tidy, presentable, and functional
  • Serve as the face of the office for all employees and guests, providing a warm welcome, general assistance, and directions to address immediate needs
  • Manage the visitor and access control process, including verifying guest credentials, issuing security badges, and ensuring a seamless check-in experience
  • Monitor and maintain a robust inventory of all office, kitchen, and catering supplies, proactively arranging orders to ensure the workspace is always fully stocked
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail and packages, overseeing the receipt, sorting, and distribution of deliveries
  • Manage the local ticketing platform and internal requests, prioritizing and resolving office issues, fielding phone calls, and routing inquiries to the appropriate departments
  • Oversee workplace scheduling and coordination, which includes managing conference room calendars, confirming meetings, and resolving scheduling conflicts
  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison, collaborating with IT for technical support, Finance for expense tracking and invoices, and the People Team to facilitate resource setup for new hire onboarding
  • Coordinate workplace events and daily perks, including office lunch programs and various ad hoc Workplace Experience projects
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years in workplace experience, facilities, or office operations in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset who thrives on autonomy
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to juggle priorities with calm and clarity
  • An enthusiastic, magnetic presence who brings others along with their energy
  • Proactive and self-driven—you don’t wait to be told what to fix or improve
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and simultaneous projects
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and project management tools
  • Experience executing culture initiatives within a startup or high-growth company
  • Demonstrated success with return-to-office engagement or office-first transitions
  • Proven ability to report on workplace engagement and usage trends
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes
