Workday Payroll Advisory Consultants collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to optimize the value derived from a client's Workday investment.

This role encompasses Workday implementation and project support, involving a deep understanding of client business and requirements. Advisory Consultants design, configure, test, and deliver solutions tailored to the client's needs, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service for heightened client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, test, and execute client business requirements within specialized Workday Advisory areas.

  • Conduct collaborative sessions with clients to comprehensively gather, understand, and analyze business requirements. Assess real client needs, propose viable recommendations, and offer alternative solutions to achieve client objectives. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement system improvements.

  • Guide clients through testing Workday configuration, including the creation of formal test scenarios. Transfer knowledge to clients and develop relevant documentation.

  • Participate in working sessions with clients and/or implementation partners, advocating for clients and providing valuable third-party insights to address their needs effectively.

  • Perform thorough audits of configuration in designated expertise areas, presenting actionable recommendations to align with business needs and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot various aspects such as business processes, calculated fields, business logic, file loads, and configuration.

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of Workday's deployment methodology and each stage of the implementation life cycle.

  • Foster innovation by proposing novel approaches for the efficient and effective deployment of Workday.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, completing tasks promptly and accurately while delivering well-considered advice.

  • Independently consult, execute, and manage competing demands across multiple clients and projects.

  • Share insights from prior experiences, Workday best practices, and the organization's perspective with clients through regular communication.

  • Adhere to prescribed timelines for deliverables. Seek support, direction, or escalate issues as required.

  • Investigate problems, pinpoint root causes, and introduce corrective measures to clients. Solicit input from team members for alternative solutions to address client needs.

  • Contribute to the organization's knowledge management repository through both formal and informal means (e.g., Q&A, documented deliverables, facilitating knowledge sharing sessions, sharing best practices, etc.).

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members in specialized areas.

  • Collaborate effectively within team-based projects.

  • Attain key performance indicators established for the role, such as utilization targets and customer satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of experience leading and implementing Workday Payroll solutions, supporting Workday Post Production / AMS Services, or engaging as a Workday client.

  • Some additional experience with either Workday Time Tracking or Absence is desired

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues in remote work setups.

  • Possess foundational consulting skills, including presenting to business partners, generating documentation and technical guides, participating in workshops, and explaining functionality to guide stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of implementing complex business solutions within challenging timelines and priorities.

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellence and achieving client satisfaction. Strong client-centric approach with a knack for understanding client needs and building relationships.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills to ensure timeliness and quality standards, often with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated initiative and eagerness to expand skills both within and beyond the realm of Workday.

  • Ability to actively engage in multiple parallel projects and deliverables.

  • Proficient in remote team collaboration, client interaction, and autonomous task management.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace frequent changes.

  • Willingness to meet travel requirements (<20% annually).

Pay Transparency Statement:

USA Pay Range: $76,000 USD - $150,200 USD
