About Glean:

Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.

At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean’s agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry’s broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.

Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC’s Disruptor 50, Bloomberg’s AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner’s Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we’re helping the world’s largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.

If you’re excited to shape how the world works, you’ll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where people get things done. You’ll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.

About the Role:

Glean is seeking a Work AI Research Lead to drive applied research that helps Glean and its customers understand how AI is being used at work, how that use is evolving, and what it means for productivity, decision-making, and organizational design.

This role sits at the intersection of data science, behavioral research, and executive storytelling. You will analyze large-scale telemetry, survey data, and experimental results to generate insights that inform customer conversations, shape product strategy, and power external thought leadership, including through Glean’s new Work AI Institute.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and with external research collaborators and Work AI Institute founding members.

You will:
  • Analyze large-scale, aggregated telemetry data to understand how AI usage patterns are evolving across roles, teams, and organizations
  • Design and analyze surveys to capture attitudes, behaviors, and outcomes related to AI adoption and work transformation
  • Analyze experiments, pilots, and joint research initiatives in partnership with Work AI Institute founding members and external collaborators
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that resonate with executive audiences
  • Develop insight decks, research briefs, and narratives that synthesize findings across telemetry, surveys, and experiments and position Glean as a leading authority in understanding how AI is transforming work.
  • Build data-driven QBR materials and executive-ready research outputs to support strategic customer and partner conversations
  • Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to surface research-backed implications for roadmap and design decisions
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure research insights are leveraged effectively in the field
  • Support the Work AI Institute’s thought leadership agenda, including reports, talks, and external publications
  • Ensure methodological rigor, responsible data use, and clear documentation across all research efforts
  • Establish repeatable research workflows for ongoing telemetry analysis, surveys, and experiments
  • Stay current on industry research related to AI, work, organizational behavior, and productivity
About you:
  • Strong experience analyzing large, aggregated datasets (telemetry, behavioral, or product usage data)
  • Proven ability to design, analyze, and interpret survey research
  • Experience synthesizing quantitative and qualitative findings into executive-level insights
  • Ability to build polished, data-driven decks and narratives for senior leaders and external audiences
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in organizational psychology, behavioral science, HCI, economics, or a related field
  • Experience conducting experiments or quasi-experimental research in applied settings
  • Familiarity with AI systems, LLMs, or AI-enabled workflows in enterprise contexts
  • Experience contributing to external research reports, white papers, or thought leadership
  • Comfort working with SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for analysis and visualization
Location:
  • This role is remote (must be located in the US)
Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly rate for this position is $120.00 - $130.00 per hour. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
