Job Summary

Maintain a high level of sales activity to drive the sale of Life Insurance and other related insurance products within an expanded territory of agents through strategic face to face visits to national account conferences, meetings, agencies and agents directly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • In concert with account leadership maintains and grows revenue within their assigned territory or aggregated territory.
  • Guides other internal Sales resources (Internal Wholesaler and Sales Support Associates) to sales within a territory or aggregated territory.
  • Maintains over 60 weekly contacts goal through 60% of their time engaged in sales activity over the phone or via WebEx and 40% of their time in face to face sales activities with agents.
  • Generally focused on top agents within the account/territory and focused on larger more complex Insurance cases.
  • Is accountable for building and maintaining relationships in their own or expanded territory to drive sales success through proactive external activity.
  • Works collaboratively with Internal teams to drive sales results.
  • Maintains accurate customer relationship management (CRM) records of all activities (calls, presentations, sales, etc.) within their assigned producer group, accurate records to maximize marketing and territory potential.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in a sales role required
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a self-directed fashion
  • Experience with PCs in a Windows environment
  • History utilizing CRM system with proven sales results
  • Progressive, entrepreneurial selling skills
  • A clear understanding of Account products, services, and rules of engagement
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of sales process
  • Ability to display maturity, competitiveness, and good work ethic
  • Ability to build, manage and develop interpersonal relationships
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Life product industry with proven proficiency in product and industry knowledge
  • State Life Insurance license and FINRA series 6 license
