Join the Advice & Wealth Management division as a Strategic Partnerships Specialist! Wealth Management’s vision is to be a trusted partner to our ultra-clients and their families, giving them the best long-term outcomes so they can leave a legacy that fulfills their purpose in the world. In this role, we are seeking a visionary strategist to elevate our vendor and external partner ecosystem, work closely with existing providers, and orchestrate opportunities to collaborate across business segments on behalf of Vanguard clients. As part of our team, you will collaborate on initiatives that strengthen our relationships with key partners including Terrelex, Holistiplan, SEI, and Vanilla. The ideal candidate will bring a working knowledge of Wealth Management client needs, experience in partnership development and stakeholder management, proven project management skills, and a strong interest in driving process improvements. In this role, you will help deepen engagement with existing partners, contribute to client-focused projects, and support the growth and evolution of our wealth management offerings.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages vendor/partner relationships of moderate to high scope and complexity. Engages current partners (startups to established service providers) to enhance outcomes for our crew and clients.

  • Works with the team and partners to identify and deliver operational enhancements for our wealth management offerings.

  • Helps establish a new team and function to support AWM’s long-term partnership and growth strategy.

  • Delivers strategic analysis to improve our offer by collaborating with partners and their capabilities.

  • Encourages collaboration across business units and partner organizations by supporting cross-segment initiatives (including AWM strategy and planning, AWM solutions, Corporate Strategy, other business divisions, etc.).

  • Provides insights and recommendations on partnership strategy to team leads and stakeholders, contributing to the broader strategic direction.

  • Assists in identifying and pursuing strategic relationships. Develops RFPs for specific services or products, reviews proposals for compliance with the RFP requirements, and request supplemental information as required.

  • Manages relationships with key partners by attending working sessions and contributing to ongoing projects.

  • Develops understanding of regulatory, cultural, and business environments to enable seamless integration of global partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years’ experience in vendor or program management preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Proven ability to analyze business challenges, develop strategic roadmaps and implement process improvements.
