Job Description:
The Digital Business Insights Analyst will be accountable for developing the digital analytics and metrics function within the RIA/Broker Dealer. This role will curate and cleanse data from diverse digital sources serving our financial professionals, policyholders, and employees, harmonize and enrich internal data with financial and/or third party data when appropriate, and translate data into tangible and actionable insights shared through intuitive dashboards and reports with senior level and C-suite stakeholders to help make decisions, track progress identify trends and opportunities, manage workforce and achieve business goals.
The Digital Business Insights Analyst will develop best practices for analytics tag schemas, data cleansing and audit processes, as well as guide stakeholders through KPI discovery exercises to ensure meaningful and impactful metrics, clear and accurate definitions, and alignment with business goals.
Analyses and visualizations will generally focus on the digital ecosystem as a whole as well as deeply explore specific components and aspects of the ecosystem.
The successful Digital Business Insights Analyst will be a detail oriented, experienced data manipulator and visualizer with excellent communication and customer service skills, innate curiosity, and a passion for data, problem solving, and helping others make better business decisions.
JOB FUNCTIONS
•Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver digital metrics, reports, and visualized dashboards to facilitate decision making
•Guide stakeholders through KPI discovery exercise to ensure impactful metrics and tangible definitions map back to business priorities
•Create and socialize key insights regarding work force management, utilization of digital platforms, tools, and collateral including data insights, implications, and recommendations
•Derive insights through compiling, combining, querying, cleansing, analyzing and presenting internal and external data
Serve as the expert and champion for our HTK fP centric and client centric data software solutions.
•Analyze data to identify known and unknown data relationships and patterns
•Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer or address specific business questions while ensuring findings are replicable and defendable
•Tie digital behaviors to revenue related outcomes to identify revenue-driving digital behaviors, leading indicators, and ideal digital journeys
•Serve as the expert in digital metrics data and data sources, including connecting information across diverse internal (marketing, sales funnel, financial, product, application, inforce, and more) and external (vendor and other third party data enrichment) systems
•Act as a curator and quality champion of our data by developing and enforcing best practices for analytics tag schemas and data audit processes
•Facilitate conversations with diverse, potentially conflicting, points of view in a manner that builds trust in and respect for the Business Insights analytics offering
•Prioritize and reprioritize projects according to alignment with and impact on key strategic initiatives
•Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements
•Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Experience delivering insight solutions based on analyses, dashboards and metrics reports
•Expertise in the sourcing, collection, analysis, and delivery of large, multidimensional data sets, including using advanced analytical tools and methodology (Excel, DOMO, Data Studio/Looker)
•Ability to develop charts and tables from disparate data sources, transform data into intuitive visually appealing dashboards or reports that communicate end to end data outcomes to facilitates decision making
•Experience crafting flexible dashboards and reports that allow stakeholders to explore the data
•Ability to translate data into a narrative of clear, relevant and actionable insights for business stakeholders and recommend next steps
•Effective project manager, with a process-driven approach to prioritize tasks, and lead results-oriented discussions (experience with project management tools a plus)
•Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes accountability for projects and can manage simultaneous projects
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively
•Experience working in a fast-paced environment with ability to adapt to changing priorities
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain advanced concepts to audiences of varying levels using simple terms
•Curious and passionate about leveraging data and metrics to drive decision making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 0-3 Years broker/dealer or RIA experience is Required
- 5-7 Years overall digital analytics experience is Required
Base Salary Range - $85,000 - $100,000
