Job Summary

Are you looking for an opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the most impactful water infrastructure programs in the mid-Atlantic region? We are seeking a Wastewater Engineering Designer to join our team and contribute to one of the largest Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) tunnel projects in the region under the Clean Rivers Program in Washington, DC (Blue Plains).
This is a rare opportunity to gain exceptional experience in managing complex wastewater conveyance, treatment, and combined sewer projects while mentoring teams and driving forward sustainable infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engineering design and consulting for complex assignments, including hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, utility plans, technical specifications, and cost estimating.
  • The successful candidate will be tasked with preparation of design and construction documents for wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Regular meeting and presentation of project deliverables to client.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Education: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required. MS. degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting performing studies, design, and construction services for municipal clients. Demonstrated experience developing designs and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects preferred but not required.
  • Certifications, Licenses:  EIT licensure highly encouraged to be eligible to take PE licensure exam.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
