LPL is seeking a seasoned Vice President II – Network Engineering to lead the strategy, design, and operations of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires a visionary leader with deep technical expertise and proven experience in building high-performing teams, driving innovation, and ensuring network availability, resiliency, across multiple data centers and corporate environments.

Leadership & Management

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of 8–10 network engineers and managers.
  • Drive talent acquisition, career development, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align network initiatives with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.

Strategy & Architecture

  • Define and execute the long-term network strategy, including modernization and automation initiatives.
  • Oversee perpetual improvement of network architecture and technologies.
  • Research and implement emerging technologies to streamline operations and enhance performance.

Operations & Governance

  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, and security of network infrastructure.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting for network performance and reliability.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and security standards.

Technical Expertise

  • Stay current on networking technologies and industry trends.
  • Apply technical knowledge to optimize business processes and efficiencies.
  • Oversee operations across multiple data centers and large corporate offices.
  • Operationalize and monitor deployed technologies for maximum performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of IT management experience; 10+ years in network engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking and data center management.
  • Expertise in Cisco networking portfolio and related technologies:
    • Cisco ACI, SDA/DNAC, Catalyst & Nexus switches
    • Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
    • Meraki SD-WAN
    • Infoblox DDI
    • LiveNX, Telemetry, Gigamon
  • Preference for experience with Infrastructure as Code and network automation.

 

Pay Range:

$142,425-$237,375/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
