Job Description
We are seeking a forward-thinking Infrastructure Architect to join our team and help shape the future of banking technology. This role is critical in designing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support our digital initiatives, including cloud adoption, big data platforms, and machine learning capabilities.
You will work closely with project teams, application owners, and enterprise architects to ensure infrastructure designs align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
This individual must be driven and must possess a wide range of IT infrastructure experience in the design of network, servers and storage infrastructure that can support advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect infrastructure solutions for new and existing projects, with a focus on cloud-native, hybrid cloud, and on-premise environments.
- Perform infrastructure project cost review prior to submission for budget approval.
- Produce high-quality architecture documents, conduct design reviews, and support implementation teams during project delivery.
- Work closely with application teams and infrastructure engineering to provide infrastructure architectural oversight and, ensure validity and alignment with Bank’s Infrastructure guidelines.
- Engage and collaborate with engineering teams to establish, continuously improve and keep current regional IT Infrastructure Architectural Guidelines.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Promote adoption of infrastructure best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- IT Skill areas include:
- Cloud computing.
- Container and Microservices technologies.
- Virtualization technologies.
- Big Data/ Data lake architecture.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, compute, and security principles.
- Language knowledge: effectively Fluent in English (speaking / writing), other languages an advantage.
- Minimum 6+ years of IT experience of which at least 3 years as an Infrastructure Architect in big data and AI/ML domains.
- Prior experience in financial services or regulated industries is highly preferred.
