Services Business Development plays a critical role in driving customer strategy and accelerating growth through acquisition, cross-sell, upsell, and long-term partnership development.
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Services Business Development to lead the growth agenda for a strategic financial institution relationship. This executive will be responsible for developing senior client relationships, identifying opportunities across Mastercard's Services portfolio, and delivering sustainable revenue growth while serving as a trusted advisor to client executives.

Commercial Leadership
Own the Services growth strategy for a strategic client portfolio.
Deliver against annual revenue, pipeline, and growth objectives.
Identify, develop, and close opportunities across Mastercard's Services portfolio, including Consulting, Analytics, Loyalty, and Security Solutions.
Lead complex commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract processes.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain senior executive relationships across business, payments, digital, risk, marketing, and product functions.
Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client priorities and translating them into actionable growth initiatives.
Anticipate emerging client needs and proactively bring innovative solutions to market.
Strategic Account Development
Develop and execute multi-year account growth plans aligned with client and Mastercard strategic priorities.
Drive account planning, opportunity prioritization, and long-term relationship management.
Identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, and expansion across business units and stakeholders.
Opportunity Management
Own the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract signature.
Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecast, and opportunity tracking cadence.
Lead opportunity teams and coordinate solution development, pricing, and commercial approvals.
Ensure seamless handoff to delivery and customer success teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner closely with Product, Advisors & Consulting Services, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and Regional Sales teams.
Mobilize internal stakeholders to create differentiated client value propositions.
Influence product and market strategies through direct client engagement and market insights.
Qualifications:
Proven experience leading business development, sales, consulting, or strategic account management roles within payments, financial services, fintech, consulting, or technology industries.
Demonstrated success managing large, complex client relationships and delivering significant revenue growth.
Executive-level communication and influencing skills.
Experience developing commercial strategies and leading complex negotiations.
Strong understanding of digital payments, banking, card issuing, merchant acquiring, data services, or value-added services.
Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed global organization.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA or similar)
