The Vice President, SAP will lead the enterprise-wide SAP strategy and execution, overseeing both functional and technical domains. This role will drive innovation through leverage of the enterprise SAP S/4HANA platform, while ensuring scalable, compliant, and business-aligned solutions. With deep expertise in SAP core modules, and additional modules such as SAP BRIM, the VP will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and a mentor to the enterprise SAP team.
 

• Establish and execute the enterprise-wide SAP vision and roadmap, aligning technology strategy with business objectives and transformation goals.
• Lead the planning and implementation of SAP initiatives to ensure they provide measurable value and support long-term scalability.
• Champion innovation through SAP S/4HANA, GenAI, and new technologies, finding opportunities to optimize and standardize business processes and improve decision-making.
• Foster strategic partnerships with business leaders, vendors, and system integrators to support scalable and compliant SAP solutions.
• Consistently work with abstract ideas and complex situations requiring deep knowledge of Cengage’s competitive environment and technology landscape.
   

• Oversee functional and technical SAP teams across BRIM, SD, Logistics, SCM, FICO, FICA, RAR, PTP, and ABAP development, ensuring architectural integrity and performance optimization.
• Promote clean core SAP development principles and modular architecture, integrating CDS views, Datasphere, SAC, and AI agents into SAP solutions as appropriate.
• Establish governance for solution design, development standards, testing protocols, and vendor collaboration to ensure seamless delivery and support.
   

• Act as a key advisor for business leaders, interpreting company goals to develop scalable SAP solutions.
• Drive process optimization and digital enablement across finance, supply chain, sales, and operations.
• Handle strategic relationships with SAP, system integrators, AMS providers, and third-party vendors.
• Evaluate and select complementary tools and platforms to enhance SAP capabilities and ensure long-term scalability.
• Oversee vendor performance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
   

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business.
• 15+ years of SAP experience, including leadership roles in global implementations and transformations.
• Proven success in SAP S/4HANA and SAP BRIM delivery at enterprise scale
• Advanced proficiency in SAP architecture, functional domains, and ABAP development strategies.
• Strong executive presence, critical thinking, and effective management of customers.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
