Maxar Intelligence is seeking a VP of Product Strategy & Operations who is responsible for building the operational engine that enables our product development organization (~600 engineers + ~40 product managers) to deliver efficient, predictable execution against a crisply communicated strategic roadmap. This role demands a systems-thinking executive with a talent for creating clarity from complexity, using methodologies like Shape Up to implement the robust planning cadences and strategic frameworks our scale requires.
Product Operations:
  • Establish and refine the operational heartbeat of the product organization, creating scalable processes and frameworks for planning, discovery, delivery, and launch.
  • Drive the annual and quarterly strategic planning process for the product team, ensuring tight alignment with engineering and go-to-market functions.
  • Implement and manage the product technology stack (e.g., roadmapping, analytics, user feedback tools), ensuring teams have the data and infrastructure needed to make informed decisions.
  • Streamline communication and collaboration between Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure seamless execution from concept to launch and beyond.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-informed decision-making within the product organization.

Product Pricing:
  • Develop and execute pricing and packaging strategies for all new and existing products to maximize profitability, market penetration, and customer value.
  • Conduct analysis of market trends, competitor pricing, customer segmentation, and value metrics to inform and refine pricing models.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to develop discount structures, promotional offers, and commercial terms that support go-to-market objectives while maintaining pricing integrity.
  • Establish and manage a pricing governance framework to ensure consistency and discipline in pricing execution across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance, providing regular insights and recommendations for optimization.

Product Strategy:
  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the product portfolio, ensuring our strategic initiatives are delivering measurable impact on revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify and assess new market opportunities, potential product extensions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Product Management leaders to translate individual portfolio roadmaps into a central Maxar roadmap to communicate to customers and the board.

Qualifications
  • Experience : 12+ years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, or a related field, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity (Director level or above).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Operational Leadership : 10+ years of experience in building and scaling product operations functions. Expertise in agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and establishing efficient, repeatable processes.
  • Analytical Acumen : 10+ years of exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Ability to synthesize complex market, financial, and performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Leadership & Influence : 5+ years of proven experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing team of senior product professionals. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to the board of directors.
  • Business Acumen : 5+ years of strong understanding of business fundamentals, including P&L management, financial modeling, and go-to-market strategies.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working in Private Equity, specifically with Transformation and Finance functions.
  • Fluency in and experience implementing the Shape Up product development methodology.
  • Direct experience owning and managing a public-facing product roadmap, effectively communicating priorities and timelines to customers and the market.
  • Onsite 3x weekly in Westminster, CO.

Compensation for this role includes base, bonus, & LTI. Specific pay for this leadership role will be determined by experience, education, and aligned with geographical and internal equity.
