About the role: 

SailPoint is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Product Management to lead the product strategy and execution for our core Atlas platform technology. This critical role will drive the evolution of our unified platform, ensuring it provides a robust, scalable, and innovative foundation for our Identity Security Cloud. Experience scaling an enterprise unified platform is a must. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing enterprise platform technologies, with a strong understanding of data platforms, graph technology, and platform monetization strategies. You will work closely with the executive team to define the platform vision, translate it into a compelling roadmap, and drive exceptional execution to achieve our ambitious growth objectives. 

Responsibilities: 

Platform Vision and Strategy: 

  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Atlas platform, aligning with the company's overall business objectives. 
  • Lead the development of a scalable and extensible platform architecture that supports the evolving needs of our Identity Security Cloud. 
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities for platform innovation and differentiation. 

 

Platform Roadmap and Execution: 

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive product roadmap, ruthlessly prioritizing features and initiatives based on changing customer needs, market trends, and business goals. 
  • Drive the entire platform lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality platform capabilities. 
  • Maniacally focus on execution, ensuring platform releases happen on time and meet or exceed the expectations of our internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Data Platform and Graph Technology Expertise: 

  • Possess a deep understanding of data platforms, such as Snowflake, and graph technology in general. 
  • Proven track record of conceiving, developing, and successfully delivering innovative AI-powered features that have driven significant customer value and business impact. 
  • Leverage expertise in data management, processing, and analysis to optimize platform performance and scalability. 
  • Drive the integration of advanced graph capabilities to enhance identity relationship analysis and security insights. 

 

Platform Monetization: 

  • Team with marketing to develop and implement effective platform monetization strategies, including capacity-based models. 
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to define and communicate the value proposition of the Atlas platform. 
  • Drive the adoption of platform capabilities by internal and external developers. 

 

Interdependency Management and Collaboration: 

  • Effectively manage and prioritize interdependencies between application teams, ensuring alignment and efficient resource allocation. 
  • Foster a collaborative, outcome-oriented mindset, emphasizing the development of platform capabilities that drive tangible business value. 
  • Work closely with Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure that the platform is built to scale, and is performant. 

 

Data-Driven Decision Making: 

  • Define and track key platform metrics, using data to inform platform decisions and measure success. 
  • Analyze platform usage and performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth. 
  • Present platform performance and roadmap updates to executive leadership. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • 10+ years of1 product management experience, with a proven track record of leading and scaling enterprise platform technologies. 
  • Deep understanding of data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and graph technology. 
  • Experience developing and implementing platform monetization strategies. 
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize interdependencies between application teams. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience managing2 and mentoring product management teams. 
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with cloud-based platform technologies. 
  • Experience with agile development methodologies. 
  • Experience working at a high-growth SaaS company. 
  • Experience with capacity based monetization. 

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$226,800 - $324,000 - $421,200

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
