Global Technology & Operations is responsible for technology development, infrastructure, information and cyber security, data strategy and analytics, customer service, and operations in support of all lines of business across 40+ markets around the world.

As the Head of Global Corporate Security, you will lead and manage the global corporate security organization providing integrated security and operational risk management services across several functional areas including security operations, executive protection and event security, and security systems and applications.

The expected salary range for this position is $250K to $300K. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

The Opportunity
As the Head of Global Corporate Security, you will lead and manage the global corporate security organization providing integrated security and operational risk management services across several functional areas including security operations, executive protection and event security, and security systems and applications.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and lead MetLife's global corporate security strategy and plans.
- Lead and direct the maturation of the security program to ensure comprehensive planning including evaluating threat intelligence and resulting risks, continually aligning planning and recovery strategies.
- Lead implementation of MetLife's workplace and site security standards and processes.
- Regularly and proactively assesses and mitigate ongoing and emerging risks to MetLife's associates, sites and operations.
- Partner with MetLife's global resilience functions for the preparation and response to physical security incidents.
- Develop strong partnerships with executive leadership team and engage internal stakeholders to ensure security strategies are aligned with organizational goals.
- Support regional leadership teams during response to major incidents and coordinate corporate response while informing or engaging the Executive Leadership Team.
- Oversee training and other educational efforts to establish a culture of security.
- Understand competitive trends for security solutions and programs.
- Provide subject matter expertise on security issues to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Support the company's information protection strategy by driving physical site security and access control programs.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team by fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- 15+ years of intelligence, military or private sector experience in delivery of security programs working with senior leaders
- Comprehensive knowledge of current security and emergency response techniques, issues, procedures and security threats
- Strategic thinking and risk mindset
- Change agent with proven ability to drive execution
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence partners
- Strong security network of government agency, law enforcement, third party risk providers and security peers
- Analytical and process skills with ability to analyze, interpret and utilize data to make decisions
- Strong communication skills
