Job Description:

Reporting to the SVP, Global Technology and Innovation Partners, the Vice President, Partner Sales will lead a regional team of managers, to include global oversight, in the recruitment, onboarding, and management of partner relationships (distribution & reseller, systems integration, referral, agent, and strategic partners), focusing on leveraging account plans to drive enterprise market adoption of Alteryx solutions to achieve partner/company new bookings and enterprise new logo growth objectives along with renewals.

The Vice President's chief responsibility is to globally develop and drive the Alteryx Partner Ecosystem, develop a Partner Program to meet and exceed sales quota through recruitment and enablement of the ecosystem, and manage revenue requirements for the channel partners and Partner Program P&L for Alteryx. The role is also responsible for Enablement of the EcoSystem Solutions to drive Opportunity and Revenue for Alteryx, and develop and manage procurement contracts, proposals and response management for Strategic Integrators and Alliances.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceed quarterly and annual bookings quota, new logo objectives, goals for partner-connected sales, targets for partner deal registrations, and achievement against quarterly MBOs.

  • Drive a culture of multiple parallel customers: partners, their end customers, and Alteryx Field Sales.

  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to a team of Partner Managers while working closely with Partner Programs, Partner Marketing, Partner Enablement, Global Solutions Architects, Systems Engineers, and Customer Support Managers in a fast-paced, still-evolving, cross-functional team environment.

  • Assist in Partner sales policy development; implement both externally with partners and internally with Field Sales colleagues.

  • Establish direct contacts with priority partners at a senior level, demonstrating strong sales and marketing skills in those interactions, assisting team in maximizing partner-Alteryx joint account mapping to beget increased deal registrations and fill partner-connected sales funnel.

  • Strategize with Regional Sales Leadership on how to maximize Partner - Alteryx Field Sales teaming, and oversee implementation of that plan in-region.

  • Become the primary liaison for assigned Field Sales Directors, instituting routine cadence to jointly monitor regional partner sales progress, resolve challenges, and manage escalations.

  • Role model expertly articulating the business value of reselling Alteryx and ensure all direct reports are highly competent in delivering this message.

  • Instill disciplined cadence of partner pipeline reviews with the Channel Managers and prioritized partners.

  • Interview, hire, train, and performance manage Partner Sales associates.

  • Guide team to prioritize spends of time and dollars; approve travel and expenses for optimal use of company funds.

  • Proactively seek out areas of improvement in Alteryx’s Partner Sales efforts, map action plans to address, and enlist others as appropriate to achieve positive change.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 12+ years of proven success in Partner sales.

  • 5+ years of sales management experience in high tech with particular depth in partner sales management across multiple channel types.

  • Proven track record of driving partner sales quota attainment across a team.

  • Skilled in departmental management, performance management, and negotiation.

  • Demonstrated success developing large global channel partners from the ground up.

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits.

  • Polished presentation skills to audiences large and small; highly articulate ambassador for Alteryx Partner Sales.

  • Experience driving integrated solutions that bundle partner services to create joint offerings.

  • Ability to creatively contribute to and coach employees on how to develop go-to-market plans to promote joint solution awareness among partner’s end user customer base.

  • Talented cross-functional collaborator able to develop trusted relationships and rapport.

  • Proficient in MS Office products and strong knowledge of Salesforce.com expected.

  • Able to travel as required.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in USD is $265,000-$315,000, plus commissions.
 

In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others
