VP of Credit Risk & Analytics - US (Remote)

the VP of Credit Risk & Analytics, you will play a critical role in shaping how we make credit decisions, manage portfolio performance, and drive risk-adjusted revenue.
You’ll own the full credit lifecycle - from strategy and pricing to portfolio health and performance—ensuring our risk approach supports sustainable growth and strong financial outcomes. Your work will directly influence profitability, capital efficiency, and long-term scalability.
This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and leads the Risk & Analytics function.

- Credit Strategy & Portfolio Ownership – Driving portfolio performance, risk appetite, and policy direction
- Pricing Strategy & Optimization – Balancing competitiveness and profitability across segments
- Cross-Functional Leadership – Aligning credit strategy with Finance, Product, Sales, and Underwriting
- Decision Accountability & Performance Oversight – Ensuring analytics and data teams deliver business impact
How you’ll be measured:
- Portfolio Performance Ownership - Own IRR, cohort performance, roll rates, and funnel conversion metrics, ensuring alignment with company growth and profitability goals
- Credit & Pricing Strategy Leadership - Define and evolve credit policy, underwriting strategy, and pricing frameworks that optimize risk-adjusted returns
- Executive Influence & Cross-Functional Alignment - Partner across Finance, Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure consistent execution of credit strategy and influence business outcomes

What You’ve Done Before:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk with direct ownership of portfolio performance
- 3+ years in a director-level or higher leadership role managing teams
- Strong experience in small business lending, alternative finance, or non-prime environments preferred
- Proven track record of making credit and pricing decisions with measurable business impact
- Experience operating at an executive level with strong cross-functional influence
Tools and Expertise You’ll Bring:
- Deep expertise in portfolio management, pricing strategy, and unit economics
- Strong understanding of underwriting processes, credit policy design, and segmentation strategies
- Ability to interpret and challenge analytics outputs without direct model development ownership
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL and BI tools for data interpretation
- Familiarity with credit decisioning systems, data vendors, and fraud tools
- Experience leveraging data to inform strategy, stress testing, and scenario planning
