The Impact of a VP, Corporate Controller at Coupa:
As VP, Corporate Controller, you will lead a large part of the accounting team, including general ledger accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, international accounting, as well as accounts payable, payroll, and T&E operations and accounting. These responsibilities will include leading the external audit, ensuring foreign statutory audits are completed, and owing to other external requirements that come up in addition to internal demands.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage accounting team members by reviewing work, providing guidance, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Coordinate with external auditors to meet deliverables and ensure timely completion of audit deadlines.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of GAAP financial statements.
- Partner with FP&A to reconcile GAAP financials to non-GAAP management reports.
- Ensure optimal operation of payroll, accounts payable, and T&E functions, driving improvements as needed.
- Review technical accounting memos and lead reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance with internal controls and GAAP.
What You Will Bring To Coupa:
- CPA license
- Experience in SaaS businesses, including PE-backed companies
- IPO readiness experience
- Big 4 accounting firm experience
- Ability to present reconciliation between GAAP reporting and management-requested non-GAAP reporting
