Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Business Data Owner to oversee the alignment of LPL’s business capabilities with data sources, flows, and lineage (both Legacy and Strategic). The business data ownership role will also play a critical leadership role in guiding LPL’s transformation from our legacy on-premise data architecture to a cloud-based Data Domain structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage data domains in support of our Enterprise strategy

  • Collaborate with Data Product Owners to ensure data quality, governance, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and execute the data strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the Data Transformation program by identifying opportunities for data optimization and automation

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across various systems and platforms

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst or in a similar role within the financial services industry.

  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau).

Preferences:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of wealth management and financial services is a plus.


 

Pay Range:

$136,125-$226,875/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
