Virtual Financial Consulting
The Virtual Financial Consulting role supervises professional level Financial Consultants who are responsible for answering questions for all in-plan participants, new entrants, prospects, beneficiaries and their legal and financial representatives on the complete spectrum of the organization's products and services. This role supports institutions aligned to regional structures and develops strategies and services for offering financial planning advice via in person, phone and video chats to help clients accomplish their immediate and long-term financial goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Monitors Virtual Financial Consultants’ responses to participant's virtual questions on their pension plans, tax deferred annuities and other available investment options in order to help clients retain and grow assets.
  • Educates and facilitates new product purchases (including retail mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance and others) and provides authoritative information upon which important personal financial planning decisions are based.
  • Provides employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex retirement plan participant virtual interactions or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Ensures team members are equipped with thorough knowledge of tax and investment strategies to inform financial advice based on clients' financial needs and objectives.
  • Communicates internally with cross-business partnerships to develop and implement the organization's products and services to support clients and company initiatives.
  • Maintains and grows strong relationship with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
  • SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63; Series 24
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Required Qualifications

  •  5 years of institutional retirement experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of institutional retirement experience
  • Prior people management experience strongly preferred
  • Significant leadership experience in Sales
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop a team
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Base Pay Range: $130,000/yr - $175,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
