Lead the production of video content, including concept development, shooting, editing, and collaboration with various teams to produce engaging visual content.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end production of both short-form and long-form video content, including concept development, shooting, editing, and delivery.
- Produce marketplace-focused video content including; listing features, seller and owner stories, Marketplace trend and insight videos and event-based content
- Capture compelling footage of vehicles, owners, and environments that elevate the Hemmings brand and reinforce trust in the marketplace.
- Produce and edit video and audio podcasts, including setup, recording, post-production, and final delivery.
- Collaborate with hosts and editors to shape episodes into polished, engaging long-form content.
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips optimized for social and paid distribution.
- Work closely with the Marketplace, Auctions, and Marketing teams to identify priority listings and cars to feature.
- Translate marketplace goals (traffic, engagement, conversion) into effective video content.
- Ensure video assets support active listings, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
- Create vertical and horizontal video content for use across web, organic social and paid social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Adapt storytelling and pacing to each platform while maintaining a consistent Hemmings voice and visual standard.
- Serve as a senior creative partner within the content team, helping set standards for video quality, storytelling, and production workflows.
- Collaborate with photographers, writers, hosts, and marketing partners to ensure cohesive storytelling across formats.
- Help guide freelance videographers or contributors when needed.

- 7+ years of professional video production experience, with a strong portfolio spanning both short-form and long-form content.
- Proven experience producing marketplace, brand, or product-driven video content.
- Experience producing and editing podcasts (video and/or audio).
- Comfort shooting on location, at events, and in fast-moving environments.
- Expert-level proficiency with professional editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Strong camera operation skills and understanding of lighting, audio, and composition.
- Exceptional storytelling instincts — able to find the narrative in real people, real cars, and real moments.
- Ability to translate business and marketing objectives into engaging visual content.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.
- Passion for cars, automotive culture, or enthusiast marketplaces is a major plus.
- Equally comfortable being behind the camera, in the edit bay, or contributing creatively in planning meetings.
