Seeking a Video Editor and Designer to create social-first content. Responsibilities include editing videos, designing graphics, and collaborating on campaigns.
LaunchSquad helps innovative brands tell their stories. Since 2000, we’ve partnered with leading technology, consumer lifestyle, and media companies — including Uber for Business, Crux, Chomps, and Ibotta — to create integrated earned, owned, and paid programs that build awareness and drive growth. We’re looking for a Video Editor and Designer to join our team. Remote or hybrid candidates welcome.
LaunchSquad’s content studio is seeking a Video Editor + Designer (Contract-to-Hire or Ongoing Freelance) to help concept, storyboard, and produce engaging social-first content for emerging and established brands. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with studio writers and PR strategists to develop creative and educational campaign ideas and bring the strongest concepts to life as compelling visual stories. Your work will support initiatives across earned, owned, and paid channels, in the form of videos, carousels, GIFs, infographics, or any format that fits the story.
We're looking for someone who enjoys both concepting and hands-on creation, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with clients, stays on top of digital trends, and knows how to leverage the latest AI tools in production workflows without sacrificing originality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with editorial and PR teams to bring campaigns to life, developing storyboards with custom, illustrated, or stock assets for client approval before production begins
- Edit and produce short-form videos (~30–90 seconds) for brand storytelling and digital campaigns, assembling footage, interviews, and other assets into polished content optimized for LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, and other social platforms
- Repurpose long-form content—webinars, interviews, podcasts—into short, shareable clips
- Design and animate motion graphics, kinetic typography, and social assets—including GIFs, overlays, and animated graphics—to enhance videos and standalone campaigns, amplifying storytelling across social and digital channels
- Create polished visual assets—infographics, guides, social templates, and more—to support content marketing initiatives
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with creativity, consistency, and attention to detail
- Work independently or collaboratively with a broader creative team to deliver high-quality results
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion + graphic design, and content production for social and digital campaigns
- A portfolio showcasing a mix of short-form videos, motion graphics, and static design assets like infographics, guides, corporate reports, and social templates
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and knowledge of motion design and kinetic typography principles
- Experience repurposing long-form content into short, social-optimized formats
- Demonstrated ability collaborating with writers, strategists, and account teams to turn creative ideas into visual strategies, lead art direction, and communicate design decisions clearly to teammates and clients
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, growth mindset
At LaunchSquad, we care about our work, our clients, and our community. We are a people-first company. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
