As part of a new growth initiative, we are seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the build-out and expansion of our Vertical Sales teams. Reporting directly to our Chief Revenue Officer, this executive leader will be responsible for launching, scaling, and owning the go-to-market strategy for our high-potential business lines.
You’ll be charged with developing the team, setting a strategic vision, and driving revenue across these emerging verticals. The ideal candidate is both a builder and a leader—someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, brings deep experience in digital and programmatic advertising, and knows what it takes to establish new lines of business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Vertical Strategy & Business Launch:
- Own and operationalize the go-to-market strategy for StackAdapt’s vertical sales motions
- Define value propositions, sales narratives, and success metrics in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Identify early customer segments and accelerate adoption across new and existing accounts.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team (both IC’s and leaders) focused on our priority verticals.
- Establish team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and StackAdapt’s core values.
- Coach and mentor sales managers and AE’s to drive performance and career growth.
- Sales Execution & Revenue Growth
- Set and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Leverage sales analytics and forecasting tools to optimize pipeline health and territory planning.
- Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships to support high-value deals and renewals.
- Drive operational excellence through data, tools, and process optimization in partnership with RevOps. Inclusive of developing a strong rhythm of business, OKRs, and performance standards across the org.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, RevOps, Enablement, Solutions Engineering, and Finance to align strategies and streamline operations.
- Influence product roadmaps and positioning based on market feedback and evolving customer needs.
- Represent StackAdapt in strategic client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Team Building & Leadership
What you will bring to the role
- 10+ years of experience in digital advertising or marketing technology, with expertise in programmatic advertising.
- Deep understanding of market trends and competitive threats and opportunities.
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams from the ground up.
- Experience launching new verticals or GTM motions, particularly in Ecommerce and B2B sectors.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Operational rigor with experience in pipeline management, forecasting, business reviews, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence—comfortable with internal and external senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to lead through influence across a matrixed organization.
