As the Vice President of US SMB Sales (Small & Medium business), you will report into our Chief Sales Officer and be responsible for demonstrating strong leadership skills, rigorous management of activities and accountability for plan achievement.  You will lead a team of Sales Managers accountable for leading a team of SMB inside sales Account Executives selling our fully integrated platform of risk and compliance solutions and services.  You will also develop and implement a strategic business plan and direct sales forecasting activities.

What you’ll do:

  • Attract, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of SMB sales managers and inside sales Account Executives, creating an inspiring experience for people to grow and thrive in life

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to continually achieve or exceed targeted business objectives

  • Drive aggressive new sales / cross sell / up-sell revenue growth in the existing customer base and new logos across the SMB market

  • Review market analysis to ensure an understanding of market trends and SMB company needs

  • Provide accurate and timely territory plans and pipeline forecasts to executive sales management

  • Represent customer, market and business issues back to executive sales management

  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition

  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements

  • Work closely with marketing management to help develop strategies that supply targeted markets with appropriate programs, materials and awareness tactics

What you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience in the SMB software industry, including 5+ years of leading people and developing managers

  • A proven track record in developing and leading successful sales teams and building a thriving team culture, including managing disciplined activity management

  • Strong business management skills and a track record of understanding successful sales methodologies

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously

  • Proficiency with CRM usage (Salesforce.com a plus)

  • Strong leadership and consensus building skills to build strong cross-functional relationships

  • Quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting

  • Ability to drive results through your job competencies of pipeline and forecast management, product and market insight, sales optimization, influence, strategic execution and talent development while leveraging NAVEX’s core values

  • Every team member is required to have a career plan in place, to be reviewed with their manager after six months in our team.

  • The starting pay rate for this role is $175,000+ per annum and the target variable pay for this role is $175,000+. Target variable pay is based on individual achievement factors and is not guaranteed.

  • Pay progression based on your performance.
