Lead platform product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for shared services (data, identity/security, workflow, APIs, integration, observability, AI). About the Role

We are hiring a VP of Product Management, Platform to own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the foundational platform that all Model N products are built on. This is a horizontal, high-leverage role: you do not own a single application — you own the shared capabilities, services, and developer/configuration experiences that make every application faster to build, easier to extend, and more valuable to customers.

You will be the product leader for the platform convergence currently underway (consolidating onto a single go-forward cloud platform), for the shared AI/intelligence services that power capabilities like contract intelligence and in-product assistants, and for the extensibility, data, and integration layers that determine how openly and quickly our customers and partners can build on Model N.

What You'll Own
  • Platform strategy & vision. Define a multi-year platform strategy for the key shared services: data model, identity/security, workflow, configuration, extensibility/APIs, integration, observability, reporting, and AI/intelligence services.

  • Team leadership. Build, lead, and grow a team of platform product managers organized around these shared services — assigning clear ownership by service area, developing PM talent and career paths, and instilling a platform-as-a-product mindset and consistent standards across the group.

  • Extensibility & ecosystem. Drive the APIs, integration framework, and developer/configuration experience that let customers, SIs, and partners extend the platform — treating internal product teams as first-class customers of the platform.

  • Non-functional outcomes. Champion performance, scale, reliability, security, and compliance as product requirements for our regulated life-sciences and high-tech customers.

  • Operating model. Establish the intake, prioritization, and governance by which product lines request and consume platform capabilities; make trade-offs visible and defensible.

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
  • A clear, endorsed platform strategy and roadmap that product-line leaders and the ELT align behind.

  • Shared AI/intelligence services adopted by more than one product line.

  • Reduced time-to-build for product teams through reusable platform capabilities.

  • A functioning, trusted prioritization model that resolves cross-product contention without escalation as the default.

Who You Are
  • 10+ years in product management, including 5+ years leading PM teams, with significant time owning platform, infrastructure, or shared-services products (not only end-user applications).

  • Proven experience taking a multi-product company onto a common platform — re-platforming, product consolidation, or platform-as-a-product.

  • Deep fluency in APIs, data architecture, integration, and extensibility; able to engage architects and engineers as a credible technical peer.

  • Experience in enterprise B2B SaaS, ideally serving large, regulated enterprises; life sciences and/or high-tech domain exposure is a strong plus.

  • Strong executive presence and influence — can align engineering, multiple product lines, and GTM around shared priorities and say no constructively.

  • Outcome- and metrics-driven; comfortable making trade-offs with incomplete information and defending them with data.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted or agentic development workflows; hands-on experience using LLM tools in a product or development context.
  • Experience with revenue management, pricing, CPQ, contracts, channel, or compliance domains is a plus.

  • Familiarity with composable/headless architectures, event-driven platforms, or marketplace/ecosystem strategies preferred.
