ABOUT THE TEAM

At Mural, growth is how we help teams discover the power of collaboration, experience value quickly, and continue to deepen their impact over time. The Growth & Monetization organization owns the full product-led growth lifecycle, from first touch to long-term engagement and revenue.

This organization spans three tightly connected product teams:

  • Growth: Driving new user acquisition, activation, and first-value moments

  • Core (Canvas): Owning the heart of the Mural experience where users collaborate, create, and realize value

  • Engagement: Designing growth loops that retain, re-engage, and expand usage over time

Together, these teams ensure Mural grows in a way that is user-centered, sustainable, and deeply connected to real outcomes.

YOUR MISSION

As Vice President of Product, Growth & Monetization, you will define and lead Mural’s end-to-end growth strategy, spanning acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.

Your mission is to build a cohesive, scalable growth system that connects how users discover Mural, experience value in the canvas, and continue to engage, expand, and invest over time.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, user experience, experimentation, and business impact. You’ll lead multiple teams and leaders, shape company-wide growth priorities, and partner closely with executive leadership to ensure growth is a durable, user-first engine for the business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own the Growth Strategy End-to-End

    • Define the vision and strategy for product-led growth across acquisition, core usage, engagement, and monetization

    • Ensure Growth, Core, and Engagement teams operate as a unified system rather than isolated funnels or features

    • Balance short-term growth opportunities with long-term product quality, trust, and user value

  • Lead & Scale High-Impact Product Teams

    • Lead and actively develop senior product leaders across Growth, Core (Canvas), and Engagement

    • Build strong leadership capacity within your teams, setting clear expectations around ownership, outcomes, and decision-making

    • Foster a culture of experimentation, customer empathy, and accountability for results

    • Ensure teams are empowered to move fast while maintaining high product quality

  • Drive User-Centered Monetization

    • Own the product strategy for monetization, ensuring revenue growth is aligned with genuine user value

    • Guide pricing, packaging, and conversion strategies that enhance, not compromise, the user experience

    • Ensure monetization is thoughtfully integrated across the lifecycle, from first value to long-term expansion

  • Champion Experimentation & Data-Informed Decision Making

    • Establish experimentation as a core operating principle across the growth organization

    • Ensure teams use data, research, and experimentation to validate hypotheses and guide investment decisions

    • Partner with Data and Analytics teams to define the metrics that matter and ensure clear visibility into performance

  • Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Lead a cross functional team consisting of marketing experts, engineers, analysts and product managers to execute against a growth strategy through the user lifecycle

    • Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to align growth strategy across the company

    • Act as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership on growth, PLG strategy, and monetization

    • Represent growth priorities and tradeoffs clearly and credibly at the executive level

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with significant hands-on leadership experience owning growth, engagement, or monetization at scale

  • Proven track record leading multi-team product organizations responsible for user growth and revenue impact

  • Deep expertise in product-led growth, experimentation, and lifecycle optimization

  • Strong understanding of how core product experiences (e.g., the canvas) drive engagement and long-term retention

  • Experience balancing rapid experimentation with long-term product quality and user trust

  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes

  • Strong analytical and data fluency, with experience using metrics to guide strategy and investment

  • Excellent communication and influence skills at the executive level

  • Passion for building growth systems that are sustainable, ethical, and customer-centered

  • High agency mindset with a bias toward action, comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating quickly based on results

  • Proven ability to create urgency, set clear direction, and move teams from insight to execution without waiting for perfect answers

  • Strong ownership mentality: takes responsibility for outcomes, not just strategy or process

  • Thrives in fast-moving environments where prioritization, tradeoffs, and timely decisions are essential

WHY YOU’LL LOVE MURAL

At Mural, you’ll have the opportunity to define how a modern, product-led company grows at scale. This role gives you ownership over the most critical levers of our business, while working alongside a thoughtful leadership team committed to building products that unlock human potential.

Your impact will shape not just how Mural grows, but how people experience growth from first interaction to long-term value.
