The Information Technology team equips our colleagues with the latest tools to complete their work efficiently and with the highest standards of excellence. The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.

About the role

In this role you will be a key member in working on technology initiatives with our business stakeholders as the conduit to ensure Claims technology initiatives have the right technology tools, stack, process and are delivered, in alignment to our North Star vision to advance our Claims technologies, tools and platform. You will work closely with business units and the business analyst teams throughout the development lifecycle.

How you will create impact

  • Essential to be able to build an understanding of the business at a level of detail to identify and address critical issues
  • Engage, Build, cultivate relationships with IT Partners and collaborate in Technology Strategy, Design and Implementation.
  • Lead and Manage Onsite and Offshore resources in development milestones, Agile planning and delivering of key technology initiatives.
  • Work with clients and IT Teams to determine requirements, priorities, technologies, and support defining our Claims Technology North Star.
  • Engage business and development teams to design, and document data flows, mappings, and key business requirements.
  • Accountable for providing project leadership including program deliverables execution and presenting findings to all levels of management

What you will need to succeed

  • 10+ years of experience supporting end to end design, development, delivery in the financial services sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Insurance business. Good to have experience within the Claims business
  • Ability to interact with business, operations, information technology and multi-disciplined stakeholders.
  • A history of delivering and execution of large-scale technology initiatives, that impact a global user population.
  • Ability to handle multiple initiatives spanning different countries is critical.
  • We are seeking candidates that have an analytical and data driven mindset, we encourage out of the box thinking, leveraging past experiences to identify innovative solutions to opportunities.
  • Experience in Enterprise business process monitoring (BPM) technologies (e.g. Pega and equivalents).
  • Experience in large-scale product implementation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required, this includes and not limited to writing emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists etc.
  • Knowledge and proven past track record of being able to ask the right questions, understand the process, learn it, and identify opportunities where technology can make a difference. 
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing paradigms, prominent industry design patterns, and agile development methodologies.

The base salary range for this position in Jersey City, NJ, is $112,000 -143,000.  In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
