Egen is seeking a UX/UI Designer who transforms complexity into clarity. In this role, you’ll create accessible, intuitive experiences for clients in government, healthcare, and beyond—bringing ideas to life through strong design systems, user journeys, and collaboration. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love pairing creativity with thoughtful communication, we’d love to meet you.

Key Attributes & Experience

  • Experience Level:
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Industry Experience:
  • Proven experience in both B2B and B2C environments.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in government sectors and/or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with ADA compliance and WCAG is highly preferred.

  • Technical Skills & Methodologies:
  • Proficiency in UX research (interviews, user flows), UI design, wireframing, and flow creation.
  • Proficiency in Figma and FigJam.
  • Experience creating User Journeys and Happy Paths.
  • Understanding and application of Atomic Design Methodology.
  • Experience building and maintaining component libraries.
  • Ability to design accessible and intuitive interfaces, especially for government projects.
  • Experience designing websites and apps.

  • Contractor Experience:
  • Experience working as a contractor Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently 

  • Education & Training:
  • Google Design Certificate (or equivalent)Bootcamp workshop experience.

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Ability to establish strong rapport with clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (e.g., demos, explaining design rationale).
  • The heart of a teacher, the ability to clearly explain design decisions to clients.

  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability:
  • Ability to learn on the go and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented.

  • Workflow & Organization:
  • Well-organized workflow and design system.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
