Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Competitive & Market Intelligence is responsible for the discovery, consolidation and communication of key trends, opportunities, threats, and implications related to PointClickCare’s Skilled Nursing and Senior Living markets and competitive environment. This individual will leverage knowledge gained to summarize data findings, regularly inform key internal stakeholders of current trends and market activities, and present recommendations to marketing, sales, product management, and senior management to support business and product strategy decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research into the PointClickCare target markets, Skilled Nursing and Senior Living, leveraging media releases, publications, promotional materials, online resources, customer interviews as content sources.
- Collaborate with internal resources to define Competitive Intelligence needs for PointClickCare.
- Lead and provide actionable recommendations based on a) analysis of internal and external business issues and environmental factors b) assessment of available data and determination of knowledge gaps c) translating data into trends with estimated business impact.
- Develop market research and scenario based analysis to enhance strategic decision making and support recommendations for the Senior leadership team
- Integrate historical industry data trend analysis, high-level strategic market movements, and campaign initiatives to develop and support product and pricing forecasts
- Collaborate with Key Account Management, Business Development and Product teams to define and deliver strategic projects
- Work with customers to identify weakness and strengths of our products and services and develop surveys to capture and quantify market information.
- Work with sales/AM teams and customers/prospects to develop win/loss analysis and help the company to have better success in converting leads
- Identify and develop business analysis of new and innovative opportunities for organic growth.
- Deliver Competitive Intelligence content and facilitate knowledge sharing amongst internal/external stakeholders and teams.
- Manage competitive info related to both product- and market activities, including development and maintenance of sales-enablement resources (e.g Competitive Battlecards).
- Offer guidance and share knowledge with sales and marketing to identify differentiated value propositions for various solutions and offerings.
- Expand the competitive intelligence coverage across the Home Health and Acute & Payer (A&P) markets
- Manage market research projects from supplier selection to project delivery. Work in collaboration with preferred research groups and internal resources to identify industry topics, develop market analysis and contribute on the creation of marketing assets and product briefs.
- Develop relationships with top consulting/research companies to enhance company’s brand in the healthcare space.
- Build rapport with KLAS Research consultants and educate PointClickCare leadership team on KLAS assessment criteria to improve company’s participation in vendor evaluations
- Organize focus group sessions with C suite executives from LTPAC providers. Engage PointClickCare’s market leaders on these sessions to identify market drives and understand providers’ key challenges and strategic plans
- Educate sales and marketing teams on the regulatory landscape and its impact on the post-acute market. Develop lectures and collateral materials to be used in customer facing meetings and internal presentations
- Expand company’s relationships with major associations to develop lead generation programs, market research projects and branding initiatives that enhance PointClickCare presence across the association’s membership base.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in one or more of product marketing, sales, market research, product management, technical writing and analytics functions.
- Passionate ability to transform strategy & insight into compelling senior leadership presentations – the candidate should have a high degree of proficiency with PowerPoint combined with a natural storytelling ability
- Minimum 2 years of experience conducting competitive intelligence or market intelligence in the software industry.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in technology solutions targeted to the senior care market.
- Proven track record of success of cross-functional project management, with the ability work collaboratively across all functions.
- Ability to structure and present qualitative data in a compelling and convincing fashion; strong writing, presentation, and project management skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities needed, along with the ability to see the big picture from scattered pieces of information.
- Able to collect and synthesize complex information, making it relevant, understandable and actionable for key stakeholders.
- AI Fluency and/or use of M365 Copilot
