At Pontosense, our radar sensing technology can detect even the smallest human movements, like a heartbeat, without cameras, wearables, or invasive monitoring. In the Agetech space, this means more than just innovation. It means older adults can live more safely and independently. It means families gain peace of mind knowing their loved ones are protected. And it means caregivers can act with confidence, supported by real-time insights that help prevent emergencies before they happen.

Behind every life-changing technology is a design that makes it usable, intuitive, and trusted. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to help us bring clarity, polish, and storytelling to our digital products. This role is heavily focused on UI design; building interfaces, refining design systems, and creating visuals that communicate safety, trust, and innovation with elegance. If you can also bring touches of UX thinking to improve flows and usability, even better.

This is a part-time contract opportunity where we’ll engage with you on a project-by-project basis. While hours aren’t fixed, you’ll be a trusted design partner we can call on regularly as new projects and initiatives arise.

What you’ll do

  • Design clean, modern interfaces for web and mobile that elevate the user experience in healthcare and AgeTech applications.
  • Build and refine design systems, ensuring consistency across components, typography, and visuals.
  • Translate product requirements and wireframes into polished, production-ready UI designs.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure feasibility, usability, and alignment with healthcare users’ needs.
  • Provide input on UX flows and usability, contributing to intuitive navigation and interactions for caregivers, families, and seniors.
  • Deliver high-quality designs within flexible, contract-based timelines.

What we’re looking for

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates UI-first design skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD (Figma preferred).
  • Familiarity with design systems and best practices for scalable, consistent visuals.
  • Some exposure to UX: wireframing, prototyping, or usability insights.
  • Ability to work independently on a remote, freelance basis, managing your own time and deliverables.

Bonus: experience designing for healthcare, Agetech, or emerging technology industries.

Why join Pontosense

At Pontosense, you’ll be part of a team on a mission to enhance, improve, prolong, and protect life through technology. We combine deep technical expertise with a vision to change how people live safely and independently.

As a contract designer, you’ll have:

  • Flexibility: Part-time, remote work that fits around your schedule.
  • Impact: Your designs will shape how people interact with life-saving technology.
  • Innovation: Work with a company developing technology that’s up to 10,000x more accurate than conventional sensing solutions.
  • Creative freedom: An opportunity to design interfaces that tell a powerful story of trust, safety, and innovation.

Our Commitment
At Pontosense, we are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive and accessible to all. We value diversity and believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to succeed.

If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation during the hiring process, please let us know. We will work with you to make the necessary accommodations to ensure a fair and positive experience for all applicants.

We strive to provide accessible communication and technology for our employees and customers and always look for ways to improve. If you have any feedback or suggestions on how we can improve accessibility in our workplace, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply for open positions at our company
