Spotlight on CBP Engineering Teams:

Content Planning Engineering
The Content Planning Engineering (CPE) team is responsible for building products that are used for forecasting the overall Netflix content spend. As one of the most upstream products in a title’s pitch-to-play lifecycle, the forecasted data is critical to the planning and operations of a lot of downstream teams. We integrate with many other engineering and data science solutions to help power the overall Netflix content creation.

Content Scheduling Engineering

The Content Scheduling Engineering team builds applications and services that provide data and insights to content schedulers, enabling them to optimize the content slate and maximize member impact. Scheduling is a challenging, multidimensional optimization problem involving several key aspects: ensuring a consistent flow of titles for diverse global audiences, mitigating launch risks, informing licensing teams about content strategies, and supporting the tracking of external launches and events. We partner closely with Content Finance, Data Science, Productions and various other engineering teams to achieve our objectives.

Localization Technologies

The Localization Tech team extends the reach of our content by localizing it into 35 languages across dubbing, subtitling, closed captions, and more. We develop platforms that manage and streamline logistics across the entire localization lifecycle, enabling partners to focus on strategic and creative decision-making. Together with our partner teams across the localization organization, we ensure Netflix feels immersive, authentic, and meaningful for members in every language.
