The UI Architect / Lead Project Engineer works as part of a software solutions team to design and develop software for use in the Healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide modern and fast single page applications built using best-in-class UI frameworks and principles

  • Manage multiple UI resources and/or projects by leading UI architecture, implementation, maintenance, support and technical debt.

  • Work with the UX design team, project managers, business analysts, web service software developers and users across the organization and create a fast, intuitive, and easy-to-use software.

  • Leads the UI team in best practices for test-driven development.

  • Uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance solutions and team efficiencies.

  • Designs functional, system integration tests and automation.

  • Collaborates with Business Analysts on product requirements analysis.

  • Performs code and design reviews with peers.

  • Deal with complex business integrations, elicit requirements, contribute to wireframes, and implement the user interface (UI) as part of an integrated and agile development team.

  • Drive the evolution of our software solutions and ensure that we meet our internal and external clients' software requirements. Assist the UX/UI design team in brainstorming, research, and wireframe translation into reusable components for use across the IT organization.

  • Lead R & D projects, produce functional prototypes, reusable UI components, advanced scripting solutions, and implementations of application UIs.

  • Mentor and coach other UI developers to follow UI best practices and team processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or foreign equivalent plus five (5) years of experience in UI Development (OR) ten (10) years relevant industry experience in UI Development.

  • 5+ year experience and expert knowledge of user interface development principles.

  • 3+ year experience with application architecture for large enterprise solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience in each of the following skills: HTML, CSS, SASS, Flex & Grid UI Layout, JavaScript/Typescript, including object-oriented development; Angular, React, or similar MVVM-based frameworks.

  • Prior experience working at Labcorp

  • Expert knowledge of User interface (UI) libraries and standards such as Angular Material,  Semantic or Bootstrap; UI design skills and user-centered design disciplines (User Experience (UX) design).

  • Solid understanding of AI and LLM and how they can be utilized to advance modern business applications.

  • Working knowledge of highly efficient RDBMS SQL (e.g. DB2, Oracle).

  • Working knowledge with NoSQL implementations a plus (e.g., DynamoDB, OpenSearch).

  • Work as a multi-skilled professional practicing Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

  • Experience with UI automation testing frameworks, Unit test cases using the Jasmine frame work and Karma to run the Test cases.

  • Strong knowledge of test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms AWS or Azure is a strong plus

  • Passion for collaboration and working on agile teams.
