Treasury Senior Analyst

Job Description

The Resolution Life Treasury department supports the Company through two primary verticals. The Treasury Strategy and Operations vertical executes the company’s daily cash management and liquidity strategy, facilitates business critical money movements, oversees credit and alternative financing programs, and manages relationships with banks and internal business partners. The Treasury Consulting vertical represents the Treasury department in new business integrations and other company projects including facilitating necessary changes to Treasury technology and the banking infrastructure, and providing expertise and advice to support the organization achieving its strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

As a Treasury Senior Analyst, your role will initially be in the Treasury Operations vertical with a focus on daily cash management and banking responsibilities.  Over time, you will also have opportunities to rotate through additional responsibilities within Operations including Treasury Strategy, Liquidity and Forecasting or assisting with Treasury Governance, Controls & Technology.

Treasury Strategy and Operations

  • With minimal support, monitor and manage daily cash positions, intercompany loans, and cash transfers, excess cash investment, and FX execution, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs
  • Liquidity forecasting, analysis, strategy and planning including developing comprehensive cash flow forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity buffers are maintained and timely funding is available
  • Liquidity limits and monitoring, and management reporting to highlight key risks to the business’s cash position, emerging liquidity issues and compliance with established liquidity thresholds
  • Contribute to balance sheet management efforts including debt and spread lending programs, associated collateral and covenant compliance
  • Execute payments and settlements with counterparties, banks, and other parties within the agreed contractual terms
  • Support banking operations including opening, closing and maintenance of bank accounts; vendor management and banking strategy, security administration, fee analysis across all banking and vendor relationships
  • Interact with custodians, banks and other treasury services related vendors; escalating issues as needed
  • Understand customer/stakeholder needs and support business areas in escalating issues with custodians, banks and other treasury services related vendors

Additional Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the maintenance of treasury technology and its related data stores, file transmissions and integrations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treasury related compliance, policies and procedures, and operational risk mitigating controls
  • Assist management in applying financial data and analysis to solve administrative and operating problems
  • Manage special projects and initiatives including defining treasury requirements, coordinating inter-department dependencies, organize and track progress on deliverables  
  • Prepare special reports and presentations
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities over time
  • Other related treasury duties as assigned

Knowledge & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance or a related field
  • CTP qualification is desirable. CFA or CPA qualification would be a bonus.
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in treasury and cash management, or investment operations with an understanding of current treasury and banking practices in the insurance/financial services industry
  • Experience with Kyriba or other Treasury Management System a plus
  • Core capabilities required in this role: detail oriented, technology adept, data analysis and interpretation
  • Seeks to understand how individual processes support a bigger picture
  • Ability to independently manage high volumes of work while delivering outcomes in a timely and reliable manner with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to identify issues and collaborate with others to propose and implement solutions that mitigate risk and promote efficiency of process

Location: West Chester, PA preferred (generally 2-3 days/week in the office, may be more); Open to NYC (generally 2-3 days/week in the office, may be more); maybe Remote

These estimates consider a wide range of factors in making base salary decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.

  • West Chester, PA - $114,700- $140,200
  • NYC- $125,100- $152,900
  • OH/NC/GA/IA/FL- $104,300- $127,400
