  • Oversee the development of financial data books, including ledger-level build-ups and trending of income statements and balance sheets.
  • Identify issues impacting purchase price or deal structure and recommend post-acquisition strategies.
  • Guide the preparation of high-quality deliverables, including diligence reports, risk matrices, and board-level presentations.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Develop, mentor, and lead high-performing associates.
  • Drive training and knowledge-sharing in technical diligence, deal execution, and industry best practices.
  • Instill rigorous quality controls and consistency in methodologies.

Business Development & Client Relationships

  • Act as a key face of the practice, building deep relationships with private equity groups, corporate acquirers, and investment banks.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to expand the pipeline of prospective client engagements.
  • Leverage cross-sell opportunities with other firm service lines, such as audit and tax.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • Certification: CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 7-15+ years in public accounting or advisory, with significant recent experience leading Financial Due Diligence engagements.
    • Demonstrated mastery of Quality of Earnings, Net Working Capital, and EBITDA analysis.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and M&A processes. SEC reporting a plus.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (including the ability to manage complex data books and sub-schedules).
    • Ability to draft high-level diligence reports and socialize findings regarding business performance and key deal issues.
  • Attributes:
    • Proactive, results-driven work style with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
    • Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring staff and recruiting talent.

Training:
In addition to on-the-job training, all employees will have multiple continuing education opportunities throughout the year. Depending on work assignments, you will attend industry- specific training internally and/or externally.
