Overview

The Training Operations Specialist is a key member of the GuidePoint Learning team, driving the creation of high-quality, engaging learning experiences while ensuring the efficiency and organization of our Learning Management System (LMS). This role primarily focuses on instructional design and content development, but also includes key responsibilities in maintaining the LMS environment and coaching internal instructors. You will work closely with the GuidePoint Learning team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and evaluate training programs, and elevate the instructional capabilities of our internal training team.

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Design & Content Development:
    • Collaborate with the GuidePoint Learning team and SMEs to analyze training needs, design curriculum, and ensure that content aligns with learning objectives.
    • Create training materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training resources, videos, and job aids, utilizing engaging techniques like storytelling and branching scenarios.
    • Support the development of multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, and videos, to enhance training content.
  • Instructor Enablement & Coaching:
    • Develop and deliver training programs and resources for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and instructors to improve their instructional delivery and application of adult learning principles.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration & Hygiene:
    • Assist with the day-to-day administration of the LMS (e.g., Docebo), including course uploads, enrollments, user management, and reporting.
    • Help maintain LMS data accuracy, organization, and system hygiene to improve learner experience and platform usability.
    • Monitor learner progress and completion data; generate and analyze LMS reports.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with SMEs, trainers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
    • Participate in the evaluation of training programs, collect feedback from participants, and make necessary improvements based on feedback and data analysis.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Background or experience in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field, typically gained through 1-2 years of work, coursework, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency in using instructional design tools, such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coach and consult with SMEs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly for content and data management.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and experience with content formats (SCORM, xAPI, etc.).
  • Creativity and an eye for detail.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring instructors/SMEs.
  • Basic data analysis or reporting experience related to training effectiveness.

Internship Details and Expectations:

This is a part-time, remote paid internship ($20hr) for 12 weeks. Interns are expected to:

  • Start July 6,2026 through September 25, 2026. There is an opportunity for full-time hire following the internship.
  • This is a remote position requiring 20–29 hours per week. Hours can be scheduled flexibly between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
  • Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours. 
  • Be located in the United States throughout the course of the internship.

This position is not available for candidates living in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Vermont, Washington and Wyoming.
