Trading Compliance Associate

As a Trading Opereations Associate at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will support and maintain all facets of compliance related to sports trading across multiple jurisdictions. This role is responsible for ensuring trading activities adhere to regulatory requirements, supporting new state launches, maintaining operational compliance in existing markets, and collaborating cross-functionally to uphold regulatory standards. You will play a key role in monitoring regulatory developments, guiding trading teams on league and wager approvals, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Trading Compliance processes and systems.

The successful candidate does not need previous Trading experience but should be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to begin a career working within a Sports Trading Department.

This role requires the willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
 

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain all aspects of Trading Compliance across sports betting operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements in all active jurisdictions.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of approved leagues, events, wager types, and applicable restrictions; clearly communicate requirements to Trading teams.
• Analyze and distribute regulatory requirements of new jurisdictions as they pertain to trading functions in support of new state launches.
• Monitor and implement regulatory updates in existing jurisdictions, facilitating necessary operational adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Review and assess requests from Trading to introduce new leagues, events, or wager types by conducting due diligence and advising stakeholders on regulatory implications.
• Serve as a subject matter resource on trading compliance requirements across all operating markets.
• Contribute to the development, enhancement, and documentation of Trading Compliance processes, controls, and systems.
• Work cross-functionally across departments within the company to ensure alignment and timely execution of compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Entry Level Position, 0 - 2 years of experience
• In order to be successful in this role, a real passion for Sports, and an inherent understanding of what Sports fans want in order to be entertained is crucial.
• The position involves flexible working hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays to cover the busy sporting calendar.
• Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and effectively work cross-functionally across different teams at FBG and the larger Fanatics organization.
• Excellent time management, good attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Competitive and highly motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude. Ability to use own initiative.
• Excellent communications skills and an outgoing personality. 
• Able to operate effectively within a team and as an individual.  
• Consistently Excellent under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines.

Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $32.00 / Hour

The base salary for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience and may vary depending on the successful candidate’s geographic location.
