Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Tool and Fixture Specialist to join our dynamic Manufacturing Team in Heath, Ohio!
Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs required tool set up, maintenance, inspection and repairs.
  • Manufactures assembly tools using appropriate precision tools and machinery.
  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required.
  • Uses appropriate precision equipment to build, maintain and inspect tools.
  • Provides tooling support to other organizations.
  • Designs various fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings to enable tool fabrication using computer or paper tool design processes.
  • Demonstrates functionality of fabrication and assembly tools to approving authority by manufacturing first part with new tool.
  • Resolves problems with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies.
  • Performs routine tool set up activities. Makes minor repairs.
  • Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools.
  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required.
  • Provides tooling support to other organizations.
  • Assists in determining fabrication and assembly processes for the design.
  • Assists in reverse engineering design and fabrication processes for parts.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience with tooling manufacturing
  • 5+ years of experience in fabrication tooling
  • 5+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with the set-up, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of machine tools
  • Experience working with tool and cutter grinding processes, prototype development, or fabrication processes
  • Experience in fabrication tooling, working with tooling and tooling processes, or working in a tooling technical field

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $57,800 - $78,200
