Test Engineer will work cross-functionally to support the development and verification of new products at the component and complete vehicle levels. This role involves defining, verifying, and validating the NVH performance of products through methods such as physical testing, data collection, simulation, and data analysis.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Define test methods in accordance with specified requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to perform the following duties: plan, manage, prepare, and execute testing processes.
• Analyze test results and provide informed recommendations within respective technology areas.
• Prepare and manage fault reports derived from tests.
• Document results through published engineering reports (ER).
• Identify, drive, and maintain efficiency improvements related to NVH testing and analysis methods.
Requirements
• Minimum Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Degree, Master preferred
• 5+ years of NVH testing/analysis experience in the automotive industry required. Experience within Heavy Duty truck industry preferred.
• Techniques for Measuring and Analyzing NVH: Competence in utilizing methods and instruments to evaluate NVH, including examining frequency responses, pinpointing noise sources, and assessing sound quality from a subjective perspective. Siemens LMS data acquisition and analysis experience highly preferred.
• NVH Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to methodically detect NVH issues, ascertain root causes, and formulate effective resolutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in working with MS Office Applications for engineering report and presentations
• Experience working with cross-functional teams is necessary
