Position Responsibilities:
- Direct management of employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of fluid systems operations, launch and recovery engineering functions
- Define, staff, develop and sustain the ESG Test and STE capability at Kennedy Space Center. Build the operational personnel requirement, systems procedures, personnel training and maintain certifications.
- Lead the development and maintenance of common processes, tools and standards and implement Boeing best practices from across the company
- Build a culture of technical excellence and first-time quality and uses metrics to set and meet goals.
- Provide oversight of technical design reviews and trade studies to ensure products meet performance, safety, producibility, ergonomic, maintainability, and reliability requirements and factors.
- Drive continuous improvement culture and lead process improvements and Lean+ projects
- Partner closely with site ESG Program Management and other leaders to ensure executability of new changes and proposals
- Drive performance to plan for ESG engineering products as Control Account Manager (CAM) and supports the ESG Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- This position requires an active Top Secret /SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
- 10+ years of experience in an engineering role
- 3+ years of aerospace engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience defining and building a new engineering team
- Experience as a spacecraft operational Test engineering inclusive of Test Conductor and Test Director roles.
- Experience as a lead engineer
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, respectful, and innovative environment taking steps to improve the value stream
- MRB certification and/or an understanding of non-conforming product review procedures
- Experience with production systems such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Teamcenter Product Data Management (PDM), and Unigraphics (UG)
