The Telecom Analyst manages billing invoices, analyzes vendor charges, prepares reports, and resolves related issues with a focus on telecom costs and vendor relations.
The Telecom Analyst is responsible for generating and processing billing invoices to several key internal and commercial teams. The position entails responsibility for the management of cloud/telecom costs, working with the vendors and clients to resolve any related issues.
Key duties include invoice creation & management, cost allocation management, report development and analysis, and responding to customer requests.
Responsibilities
- Analyze vendor invoices and create and process rebilled invoices, mapping billing rates, as well as identify discrepancies and opportunities for savings.
- Investigate telecom usage charges with the help of invoices and customer service representatives.
- Prepare and ensure that month-end activities are executed on a timely basis, i.e.
- Prepare system charge back department journals, do relevant bill/ledger reconciliations & Telco accruals, and work with Suppliers on ensuring current ageing debts are resolved.
- Prepare Monthly Reports as required.
- Resolve Telco and business group queries related to invoices and payments information on a timely basis.
- Run and analyze reports: AP and Accrual reports.
- Work with Clients and Internal Sakon representatives during US hours and chase vendors as required.
- Maintain a telecom inventory database (MACD: Move, Add, Change, Disconnection).
- In addition, you will be responsible for such other duties as Sakon may assign to you from time to time, i.e. review of invoice processing during stabilizations period, back-up function, business process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
Skill and Experience
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Working knowledge of Power Point and Word.
- Understanding of Telecom (primarily cloud service like AWS).
- Telecom Expense Management and/or Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Required Education Associate's Degree
- Oral and written communication skills, able to work effectively with employees both internal and external to the finance function.
- Effective time management and organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task
- Participates in the development of technical/business approaches and/or the recommendation of current system enhancements.
