Position Overview:

As AI reshapes industries and economies, VAST is at the heart of that transformation. We’re building a team of bold thinkers and clear communicators to help tell that story. We’re looking for a Technology Storyteller to join the VAST Data Communications team — a strategic, curious, and creative voice who can turn our most sophisticated innovations into clear, compelling narratives. Working in conjunction with the Comms team, this person will work across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Executive Leadership to translate technical breakthroughs into business-impact stories that move markets, capture customer imagination, and position VAST as an AI infrastructure leader. The role will focus on creating stories that explain why VAST matters, what makes our technology fundamentally different, and how it’s helping customers build the AI-powered businesses of tomorrow.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft and deliver clear, compelling narratives that explain how the VAST AI OS works and why it matters in the context of AI infrastructure, enterprise transformation, and modern data challenges.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Executive Leadership to uncover the real stories behind our technology — from groundbreaking customer deployments to engineering firsts — and turn them into communications assets.
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible, audience-appropriate language for analysts, press, and industry influencers.
• Support external communications initiatives including media briefings, presentations, customer case studies, product launches, and thought leadership content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify market trends where VAST has a differentiated point of view — and help position the company as a technology and business thought leader.
• Help evolve and define VAST’s technology voice across earned, owned, and executive channels.

• A strategic communicator with 15+ years of experience in technology communications, editorial, thought leadership or a related storytelling role.
• A natural translator between technical and non-technical audiences, with a strong grasp of AI, data platforms, cloud, and enterprise technology trends.
• A skilled writer, editor, and content strategist with a portfolio that shows your ability to explain complex topics in simple, human, business-relevant terms.
• Comfortable collaborating with senior executives, engineers, and customers to capture authentic, credible narratives.
• Organized, proactive, and resourceful — able to manage multiple projects in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
• Curious and passionate about the future of AI and data, and eager to help shape the narrative of a company defining this category.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in AI infrastructure, enterprise, or cloud-native software.
• Background in PR, journalism, technical writing, or corporate storytelling.
