Job Description
As a Senior Application Support Associate you will be entrusted with supporting Chief Finance Office teams, Controllers, Business Managers and Project management teams. Work with cross-function teams, build key relationships and enable the product to continuously deliver value.
In this role, you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the critical operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a range of applications. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to product management, software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines.
The Portfolio Investment Governance tooling team manage one of the most critical products within the Finance & Business Management ecosystem that is focused on enabling processes such as Investment Governance, Financial Management, Execution & Delivery, and managing strategy and firm wide objectives. The product consists of a set of interconnected applications and microsystems that are evolving at a rapid pace to keep up with the growing needs of the organization and evolution to a Product operating model. The product team is responsible for setting the product vision, mission, and ensuring that the functionality helps solve real world problems for the Finance & Business Management organization. Job responsibilities

  • Ensure potential client impacting incidents are identified and remediated prior to client impact or remediated as soon as possible after issues arise
  • Perform1st level support for application and platform incidents as needed
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, conduct post-mortems and ensure permanent closure
  • Analyze patterns of incidents, develop permanent remediation plans and consult with technology teams to drive necessary improvements necessary to prevent future incidents from occurring
  • Collaborate with interfacing teams/ partners, mainly from the Chief Finance Office organization to evaluate dependencies, Requirements and Schedule. Understand client need and client use of the platform and dependencies
  • Collaborate with the Product Managers, key stake holders across technology to execute key delivery tasks / issue resolutions
  • Provides technical and procedural user training, coaching and guidance to support applications


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 8+ years of technical experience in technology environments and related dependencies between platforms, database and application levels
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Business / Finance / Accounting
  • Experience in Alteryx, Tableau, supporting real time transaction processing applications, enterprise incident management practices, monitoring and performance tools
  • Knowledge of finance and business management functions and/or banking technologies/infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience of working in Finance Transformation, Financial management / planning or development of headcount/expense planning tool
  • Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to quickly receive and process information, make appropriate risk based decisions
  • Effective issue management skills, problem identification, root cause analysis, and solution recommendation
  • Self-confident, self-directed, ability to work with various levels of staff and management
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to remain calm, work in a fast paced and at times, pressured environment
  • Strong global team member, interaction with staff and clients to achieve business goals with excellent oral and written communication


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience working in the financial industry
  • Experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Experience executing operational management and change readiness activities
  • Developed knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Data manipulation experience
