Our corporate office is located in Dublin, CA, in this Contract Technical Writer position, you can work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

We're looking for a skilled Technical Writer to create clear, structured training documentation for our SaaS platform. You'll translate complex software workflows into intuitive guides, helping our users get up to speed quickly and use the product with confidence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Author end-user training manuals, onboarding guides, and how-to documentation

  • Collaborate with product and engineering to capture feature details accurately

  • Create annotated screenshots and step-by-step visual walkthroughs

  • Maintain and update documentation as the product evolves

  • Organize content in a knowledge base or LMS (e.g. Notion, Confluence, Guru)

  • Gather feedback from customer success and support teams to improve docs

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of technical writing experience, ideally for software products

  • Strong command of written English with clear, concise communication style

  • Comfortable learning and navigating web-based SaaS platforms quickly

  • Proficiency with tools like Google Docs, Notion, or Confluence

  • Ability to self-manage deadlines with minimal oversight

  • Portfolio of previous technical writing or documentation samples

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating video tutorials or screencasts (Loom, Scribe)

  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (TalentLMS, Teachable, etc.)

  • Background in instructional design or adult learning

  • Basic graphic editing skills (Figma, Canva) for diagrams

Compensation

$35.00 - $40.00/hourly depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position.
