Role Description

As a Technical Recruiter supporting our Engineering organization, you will own full-cycle recruiting for high-impact technical roles that directly influence Dropbox’s product innovation, infrastructure, and long-term technical strategy. Operating with autonomy and strong business judgment, you’ll partner closely with Engineering leaders to translate roadmaps into effective hiring strategies, build competitive pipelines across specialized technical domains, and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes in highly competitive talent markets.

You will drive impact across technical sourcing strategy, stakeholder advisory, candidate experience, and closing top-tier engineering talent, while leveraging data and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and decision quality. This role offers meaningful exposure to senior engineering leadership, the opportunity to influence scalable hiring practices in a Virtual First environment.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Engineering leaders and hiring managers to understand technical hiring needs and develop tailored recruiting strategies
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for complex engineering roles (e.g., backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, data, security)
  • Build and maintain high-quality engineering talent pipelines using proactive sourcing, referrals, and market intelligence
  • Screen and assess candidates against defined technical and performance outcomes; facilitate structured debrief discussions
  • Lead offer strategy, approvals, negotiation, and proactive closing plans for competitive technical talent
  • Deliver an exceptional, inclusive candidate experience from first outreach through onboarding partnership
  • Leverage recruiting data, market insights, and AI tools to inform decisions and continuously improve engineering hiring processes
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience recruiting for engineering or highly technical roles
  • Proven track record of building and converting high-quality engineering talent pipelines in competitive markets
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex technical requisitions and influence engineering stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of technical interview processes, structured assessment, and inclusive hiring practices
  • Experience leveraging data and AI tools to enhance sourcing strategy, decision-making, and workflow efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior in-house recruiting experience within a technology or product-driven company
  • Experience hiring for distributed engineering teams
  • Strong data-driven mindset with experience using recruiting metrics to shape engineering hiring strategy and outcomes
