About Port
Port is an open, flexible internal developer portal designed to streamline everything developers need to know to deliver software more productively and comply with organizational standards.
Every company’s software standards, platform, and developers are unique and Port enables platform engineers to unify and present all of the tools in their platform, so developers can work efficiently with clear guidance along the golden paths established collaboratively with stakeholders like security, SREs, and management.
From onboarding a new developer to setting up a microservice, performing daily operations to monitoring DORA and engineering metrics across the organization, Port is the only developer portal with the total flexibility to handle all our customers’ unique platforms and standards, without the cost and complexity of building from scratch.
Port is growing fast, and we're looking for a Technical Product Marketer to turn our existing and future use cases into clear, compelling value for customers.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product, SEs, CSMs, and customers to identify key use cases and show how Port delivers impact. You’ll bridge technical depth with business insight, helping translate complex solutions into real-world value. This role requires a unique mix of engineering know-how and go-to-market intuition, with plenty of room to innovate, scale, and influence how we communicate Port’s value to the market.
What You Will Do:
- Build and deliver compelling product narratives in our demonstration environments.
- Create technical content including demo videos, reference designs, and tutorials.
- Configure and manage demo environments across different use cases and personas.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, Integration Partner, and Engineering teams.
- Develop technical documentation and training materials.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years as a Product Marketing Manager, Sales engineer (SE), Solution architect, Partner solution Architect or related fields with focus on demos and storytelling. Experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer is great, too.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical products into compelling narratives, demos, and enablement content for technical and semi-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience building and delivering live and recorded product demos, including demo environments tailored to different personas (developers, platform teams, DevOps, VP Eng, etc.).
- Strong technical foundation and comfort working close to the product, including:
-APIs and integrations
-Cloud-native and modern software architectures
-CI/CD, DevOps, or platform engineering workflows
- Strong cross-functional collaborator with experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Partner teams.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and balancing multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing or enabling developer tools, internal developer platforms (IDPs), DevOps platforms, or infrastructure tooling.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub/GitLab, Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure), or modern CI/CD systems.
- Comfort presenting to both deeply technical audiences and executive stakeholders.
