About your role

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of Rocket Lawyer’s customer data infrastructure.

You will define and deliver a centralized, scalable data platform that enables real-time insights, drives product innovation, and improves customer experience and business outcomes.

Working within a product trio (Product, Engineering, Business), you will lead discovery, define strategy, and execute a multi-phase roadmap to modernize how we collect, manage, and activate customer data across the organization.

How you will make a difference day to dayStrategy & Vision
  • Define the vision and roadmap for a unified customer data platform
  • Establish standardized data definitions, models, and “sources of truth” across the organization
  • Identify gaps in current architecture and design a future-state data ecosystem
Data Infrastructure & Governance
  • Design scalable systems for collecting, storing, transforming, and profiling customer data
  • Implement data governance practices to ensure quality, consistency, and long-term sustainability
  • Enable near real-time data access for internal teams and systems
Insights & Activation
  • Enable teams to:
    • Understand customer behavior and trends
    • Build real-time dashboards and BI reporting
    • Create customer profiles and trigger-based experiences
    • Define audiences for marketing and lifecycle communications
  • Support integration with third-party tools for downstream activation
Product Delivery
  • Own end-to-end product delivery—from discovery to launch
  • Validate product decisions across value, feasibility, usability, and viability
  • Define KPIs and measure product performance
  • Write clear requirements and partner with engineering to deliver on time
  • Drive agile processes (planning, refinement, sprint execution)
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Act as the product leader for customer data across Rocket Lawyer
  • Partner with engineering, data, UX, and business stakeholders
  • Communicate roadmap, risks, and progress to executive audiences
  • Align cross-functional teams around a shared data strategy
What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager
  • Proven track record delivering complex, data-intensive products
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, APIs, and scalable architectures
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions (and vice versa)
  • Comfortable working with engineers, architects, and designers at a deep level
  • Excellent communication skills—able to simplify complex topics for any audience
Product Skills
  • Strong product discovery and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), data lakes, or BI systems
  • Ability to define and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements
  • Skilled in agile delivery and cross-team coordination
  • Experience instrumenting products, tracking KPIs, and running A/B tests
  • Comfortable creating user flows, wireframes, and product documentation
  • Experience integrating third-party systems and vendors

Compensation Base salary range by location:
  • Colorado: $136,855 - $161,005
  • Utah, Arizona, and North Carolina: $128,804 - $151,534

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and performance during the interview process. In addition to base salary, this role may include variable compensation and be eligible for an equity grant, depending on the position and level.

Base salary range:
$128,804$161,005 USD
