About this role

About BlackRock:
Are you interested in building innovative technology that crafts the financial markets? Do you like working at the speed of a startup, and solving some of the world’s most exciting challenges? Do you want to work with, and learn from, hands-on leaders in technology and finance?

At BlackRock, we are looking for Product Managers who like to innovate and solve sophisticated problems. We recognize that strength comes from diversity, and will embrace your outstanding skills, curiosity, and passion while giving you the opportunity to grow technically and as an individual.

We invest and protect over $11 trillion (USD) of assets and have an extraordinary responsibility to our clients all over the world. Our technology empowers millions of investors to save for retirement, pay for college, buy a home, and improve their financial well-being.

Being a technologist at BlackRock means you get the best of both worlds: working for one of the most sophisticated financial companies and being part of a software development team responsible for next generation technology and solutions.

Team Overview:
Within Aladdin, Client Experience & Enterprise (CXE) is a dynamic and innovative group with dedicated focus on delivering cutting-edge solutions for clients, regulators, engineers, sales, and service professionals, while ensuring seamless integration across various platforms, including mobile and desktop applications. Collaboration, agility, and a commitment to continuous improvement are at the core of the CXE team's mission, making it an integral part of Aladdin's success.

Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, Product Managers work closely with Aladdin developers and other stakeholders to innovate, conceptualize, design and pilot new capabilities to simplify our clients’ business problems.

About this role:
The Case Platform delivers scale to BlackRock’s most complex operational workflows across the full lifecycle of BlackRock’s investment clients, including portfolio change requests, new account openings, invoicing and terminations. It brings together people, process, data and technology systems to drive productivity, mitigate risk and put money to work faster.

As a Product Manager for the Case Platform, you will be focused on a variety of capabilities within the technology ecosystem, including AI-powered workflow orchestration, contract management, AML/KYC and regulatory compliance, client data and documentation management.

In your role, you will work alongside a team of Product Managers and will be expected to coordinate and manage dependencies across the Case Platform ecosystem.  You will also work closely with engineering teams, key business stakeholders and other strategic partners to execute and deliver on your product vision. You should have experience influencing and motivating teams without direct control.

Your day would include:

  • Working with other product managers to define the product strategy and vision for the Case Platform. Clearly articulate the business value to the engineering and delivery teams so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release.
  • Responsibility for making product decisions and acting as the lead resource for the rest of the organization when product expertise is required.
  • Design and deliver AI‑first workflows and introduce AI‑led ways of working across the platform.
  • Analyzing user feedback and market trends to fuel product improvements.
  • Defining the features and requirements necessary to deliver a complete product to market and lead the product team to success. You will be responsible for articulating the ‘what’ and working with engineering to determine the ‘when.’
  • Being deeply involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle, with a willingness to wear multiple hats, including project management, user experience design, testing, training and release planning.
  • Leading with a data-driven mindset that tracks and measures usage and metrics to inform product strategy and deployment strategy
  • Staying attuned to industry and technology trends, markets and alternative product offerings and conceptualize impacts to the product offering

If you see yourself doing these activities, then you probably have:

  • 1-3 years of Product Management / Product Ownership, or relevant experience
  • Familiarity with agile processes, and are comfortable serving in the role of “Product Owner” to a scrum team
  • Hands-on experience with client operations and servicing technology platforms
  • High degree of comfort to work and deliver results independently, self-starter
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and planning skills, including the ability to multitask
  • Commercial acumen, with ability to prioritize and execute quickly
  • Strong team player mindset, with ability to lead and influence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and communicate up and down the organization

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$132,500.00 - USD$162,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our benefits
To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.
